The no price copies are by far the rarest of the three. I’ll have to check mine. A no price variant would be pretty cool. Frisco Larson

I was hoping to win this nice looking 'no price' copy on ebay in the week but it went too high: There are actually four TTA #16's to collect: KirbyJack, rakehell and Frisco Larson

It IS cool to pick up any variants when you see them. It's just a cool dimension to extend your collection. Let's face it, once you complete a set, that's it, typically, so anything beyond that that you can find adds to the fun. mysterio and Get Marwood & I

I've been hunting TTA pre-hero for nearly 30 years (started as a teenager). #4 is definitely the scarcest. #3 is no picnic, nor are #5-6. Get Marwood & I
Here's a good example of the British reprint having more cover than the US original: I wonder what the original art looks like / contains. rakehell

I have a few of those British reprint books and I'll try to dig them out this weekend. Fun stuff!!! Lot's of examples out there Frisco - not pre-hero, but here's a good example from my Marvel pence thread: On 5/9/2019 at 5:24 PM, Get Marwood & I said: I picked up a copy of issue #130 of the UK reprint title, Spider-Man Comics Weekly recently, which reprints part of the story from ASM #96 and with which it shares a cover. I owned it as a kid and spotted it again recently online and felt nostalgic. Like you do. Anyway, something about it was nagging me. Something was different. So I compared it to the cover of ASM #96 (pence copy obviously) and aside of the obvious colouring differences, and the fact that it's daytime on the reprint cover, I noticed that there is a lot more of the policeman - sorry, cop, on the right hand side than we're used to seeing: That's a good inch extra of cop there. So I wonder if the original art has the 'full cop', or did someone add a bit for the reprints oversize cover? I don't think I've ever seen the OA for the cover but did find this prelim piece online: Hmmm Frisco Larson
Get Marwood & I
....and back to pre-hero Marvels (have I posted this already?), here's a 9d Rro: I wonder what our discoverer was doing in a bottomless pit anyway. A bottomless pit is quite a thing in itself really, when you think about it. I wonder how he knew it was bottomless? Did he drop a stone and wait for ages? Maybe it was the stone that woke Rro up. I'd imagine a stone travelling at 100mph hitting you on the head would wake even the hardiest sleeper. No wonder he had the hump and started throwing trains about. That would be some headache he'd have. Assuming Rro is a he of course? And how do you pronounce Rro anyway? Is it the same as Ro, just with another 'r' ? How do you pronounce two 'R's'? Roll them? Rrrrrrrro... porcupine48
