Bronty
good info guys, thanks! A few of those are post hero though, my post referred to repeat appearances in the prehero era. A couple of those were new to me, I don't think I've ever read either of the Totem stories. Great book mysterio!!

mysterio
Yeah, eventually a nice book will fall through the cracks. I bought the #90 maybe 4 years ago or so, just after moving into my current house. I think I paid $30 so it was worth the gamble, which obviously paid off! It's nice to get the occasional winner to make up for all the losers from the Bay.

AtlasFan
Hulk annual 5 is why I was buying pre-heroes back in the 80s. People laughed at you for buying pre-heroes then. Who's laughing now, Indie-snobs? I started collecting pre-heros after reading the stories in the 70s reprint titles. In the 80s I would look for nice pre-hero copies in catalogs and at cons. Those issues were usually found in the boxes under the dealers tables -- usually mixed in with Archies and Classic Illustrated reprints. Most of the time, they were really beat up, but every once in a while, you would come across a nice gem. I believe it was in the early 90s after several artciles about "prototyes" began to appear in Comic Book Marketplace and CBG that these books became collectible. Then WHOOSH! -- the prices took off and everyone was looking for these books.
