Thanks. I rescued it in a collection I purchased in March. Unbagged and unboarded. Somehow it survived.

If anyone has a Superman 75 4th print in CGC 9.8 or a Platinum CGC 9.8 let me know ….. I have prints 1-3 in 9.8 and want to complete the set!

I finally opened a sealed Funeral for a Friend set I bought a few years back, the one that comes with a post card with Action Comics #1 on front and a cool poster featuring all of the Funeral covers.

This guy might have a chance with pressing.

I also found a copy this morning on eBay listed as NM - Mint, snagged that one for a good price. Going for this rare 3rd printing in CGC 9.8 is more ambitious than trying to finish the Kitchen Sink cookie from Panera in one sitting. Don’t believe me! Just try it! 

To date @Iconic1s has been the only one to submit a 3rd printing that came back a 9.8, a real trailblazer!

I appreciate the shout out!  There is a second 9.8 in the census now though… not sure who submitted that one.

Still, I was really excited and happy to be the first one to submit a copy of this book for grading AND have it receive 9.8!

Oh, I thought you were responsible for both 9.8s. 

I was also looking for more of those sealed Funeral sets with the poster and post card, those packs have really gone up, like $40 plus. I think mine was less than $20.

Nope, I am responsible for both 9.8 copies of JLA 69 3rd print though   that was a fun one too!

And the only 9.8 of JLA 70 4th print… that’s an easy one to find raw but kicked my butt to get a 9.8!!

I’ve seen those packs go up and down, that’s for sure!  So fun to open though!!

Stumbled in to this thread last night, which made me go box diving in to my copies. I used to pick these up when I ran across them in the $0.50/$1 boxes and have quite a few copies of all of them. Pulled these later printings out. How rare are these?

 

Also, I noticed some variation in the first prints where they have CAN/US prices with “early July” stacked…then on some its CAN/US/UK prices stacked without the book date.

Your JLA #69 4th print is rare in high grade. The other two pictured are fairly common.
