Super solid at staples. Sharp corners. Date penciled into the "A". What do you think? It's high grade, but how high?

The tiny tear on the right side is 1/4"

The top staple looks weird in the photo but it is perfect on the comic.

The insides look to be white pages too.

7.0 because of the tear. Without it could be 8.5

I had an otherwise NM book get an 8.0 with a tear about that size and a small crease next to it.I'd say 7.5 is possible.

7.5 but I'm leaning toward an 8.0. That's a beautiful copy and a great cover. Always wanted that book but now it's probably too expensive.

I'm curious, is there something that stands out to you that makes you think the grade would only be a 6.5-7.0.

 

It's really a gorgeous book, so I'm wondering what you're seeing. Is it just the 1/4" tear?

This book is coming back to me from CGC.

 

It ended up as an 8.5 with WHITE pages.

My personal thought holding the comic in hand was 8.0 with an outside chance of 8.5 so I'm pretty happy.

Great looking copy! I was in the 7.5 camp but wasn't around for the original post! I guess what I thought might have been impact damage at the bottom of the book was not? Was the book pressed by any chance before sending it in for grading? Congratulations on the grade! (thumbs u

The book was pressed, yes. I can see what you mean by what looks like impact damage in the photo, but "in hand" there was no impact damage, in fact I really didn't think I needed to press it, but I thought, "What the heck, I'll press it"

I graded it at 8.5 before scrolling to the second page with results.
