PGM Uomo Ragno #134 (ASM #122)

I have a problem in grading this (italian edition of ASM #122).

The book would be in the VFNM or better range, but has a ding on the top which goes through all the book, and I have no idea on how much either Overstreet or CGC downgrade for such a defect (the ding is only at the top: not due to some rope or newsstand distribution packaging, apparently).

I see no higher than 8.5 but that's more for the discoloration on the spine than it is for the ding. And that's also assuming the BC has no additional defects.

BC is better, on the (upper part of the) spine there is some "foxing" (stuff due to humidity or so) rather than discoloration.

 

I would be fine calling it either a 8.0 or a 8.5 – appreciate other opinions very much!

8.0/8.5 seems like a good range, is prepare for the lower and be pleased with the higher.
