Any input and grading suggestions are greatly appreciated

 

Noticeable Defects

 

Dirt/Smudging FC and BC (Near both a's in Fantastic, BC spine, BC bottom edge)

 

Very minor CB spine ticks near Mr. Fantastic's arm and Human Torch, On the purple part of The Thing's costume

 

CB crease LRC FC

 

To me the defects aren't too drastic.

If the dirt is magnified by the scan (mine does that) I’d say about a FVF+ but of course it can present better in hand so it’s more likely a VF or so.

I think it’s spot on, considered the small corner crease, as the book looks solid.

 

A pity that SA Marvels with white covers show dirt in an unmerciful way – you could clean it up a little by gently rubbing with an adequate eraser.

Thanks, everyone! I think a little dry clean with something like absorene puddy to remove the dirt would make a world of difference.

After a second look and side by side comparison I think you're right.

Both books are quite nice!

I’m pretty sure Imperius' scanner magnifies the yellowing zone too, I have a bit of experience with scanners as well.

A nice looking copy. If it weren't for that right lower corner front cover crease, this could rate higher, but with that and the few other defects, probably 8.0 tops.

CGC really puts the hate on creases like that unless they are at the very extreme tip of a corner.

Once cleaned up it could get 7.5/8.0. I had an Avengers 2 with a hard crease like that get an 8.5. It was the only defect the book had.
