Seems like with my luck recently, I won't be seeing anything over a 9.0 in my collection of books anytime soon. I was always so proud of this issue too. But that upper staple tear is a killer IMO. How will it impact the grade of an otherwise pretty solid book?

Those staple pulls tend to happen when the "tattooz" are removed. Are they still present in the book?

 

Very good point,, Brad. I know this is an issue with Fantastic Four 252 as well. The staple tear is a big deal. whenever the word "tear" is involved and you want a book at VF/NM it's going to be very very tough
