Hi all I’m slowly (very slowly) learning this grading malarkey thanks to all your previous help with my Silver Age issues.

 

Now I’m progressing to the much higher grades and would like your opinions on the 3 Wolverine books that I will be posting.

 

All are unread (as are the whole 189…go figure) and so should be very high grade. Needless to say High Gloss, White Pages etc.

 

Your opinions on what prevent these from being at least 9.6 or 9.8 (or is this wishful thinking) would be very much appreciated. (thumbs u

Front Cover: Two non-colour breaking spine stresses, minor impact damage on LLHC and blunted LRHC (appears to be just slightly "turned down")

 

Back Cover: Looks good. No visible spine stress but a little wear in the lighter coloured areas is visible.

 

Cover is slightly mis-wrapped but shouldn't effect the grade.

 

I would think this book is worthy of 9.6 (thumbs u

Just to add my , a miswrap will not stop a comic from coming back a 9.8. It's considered a production flaw by CCG. You just can't get a 9.9 or 10 with a mis-wrap, but otherwise you're A-OK.

Even with a slight miswrap you can still get a 9.9 and 10. Though I have never seen one as large as your book on a 9.9+

 

Here is an example that caused a lot of furore when it surfaced.

Small knock bottom right hand corner front cover.

Same knock back cover bottom left.

I'm at a 9.4

A 9.6 I like to see 4 sharp corners but CGC maybe a bit different on that
