Yes the water stain feels like 4.0 to me.

 

does it matter the size of the stain that could change the grade on a book? Or stain size only affect higher grade/value books?

 

Yes the size totally affects the book I was at 4.5 without it.

If it was like a 4" stain and dark I would probably drop it by

2 full grades. Also the color, if it goes into the pages, etc...
