Hi everyone, I would like your thoughts on the grade of this book.

No hidden defects, One issue is the slight crease on the front of the cover, Does not break colour, Never thought about pressing but would a book with a defect like this benefit from such action.

The way the book is right now:

-there are several (at least 4) spine ticks (too hard to tell if any are colour breaking)

-there appears to be a slight edge stress on the front cover RHS at the cloud line

-the obvious non-colour breaking crease on the front cover

-the back cover shows the same spine stress markings

-the LRC appears to be slightly blunted

-the LLC appears to have a slight bend and some sort of wear at the bottom of the page in this same area.

 

Based on this information I would 6.5 (and it is low due to the accumulation of the defects)

 

If you were to press and dry clean this book I think that the cover crease and the lower corner bend on the back cover could be removed and then you would be looking at 8.5 (thumbs u
