Nice looking book... but oh man that back cover - left hand edge

 

I am thinking that may be a processing defect but I can't be 100% certain. But here is the clue that leads me to the conclusion of production defect. There is a wrinkle in the back cover just below the edge tears. This is why I believe the edge tears are production related.

 

I am not sure how CGC approaches grading such a production defect but I would be comfortable giving this book an 8.5 (thumbs u

9.0 for me, maybe a .5 off cover if CGC thinks that is a general wear problem on the back cover
