COI
pretty ironic you would post all this when you've only been a member here for a little more than a year Now, delete "/{{FRAME}}" from the code so that you're left with this: [ IMG]http://i.picasion.com/pic76/aeafb75496e0315d9f9f7521a951f62f.gif[/img] Use the edited code in your sig line and you're good to go! (thumbs u Its helpful and appreciated. I'm fairly certain a person with over 7k posts in year knows what's going on. Holy , that's nearly half my post count. Davenport
So, there has been a lot of and with noobs lately. I wanted to compile a list of helpful topics, threads and tips that could be easily accessible so the same questions aren't asked ad nauseaum and to prevent the inevitable start of a new thread when an old one already exists. If anyone has any threads to add, I will add them to the first post. (thumbs u Great idea and good info. (thumbs u I started a thread titled What An "Educated Buyer" must know and understand... sometime back. Once you get past some of the early-on threadcrapping there's some decent worthwhile information and POVs worthy of consideration in the thread. ItsJustRyan
My suggestion to add to the main list would be to include a "Ask a Boardie a Question" section where volunteers can have there username linked to a PM so that newcomers can ask (what they may perceive as a stupid) question to someone who has been around longer without the fear of a hell-storm. We can even include topics we are more familiar with to aid newcomers. Example: key books, moderns, silver age, CGC grading, CGC fees, turn around times, page quality, etc. I'll volunteer to help here (if HS will likes the idea) and ask for other volunteers as well (once again, if HS likes the idea). What the link would look like: ASK A BOARDIE A QUESTION For GOLDEN AGE Boardie For SILVER AGE Boardie For BRONZE AGE Boardie For COPPER AGE Boardie For MODERN AGE Ask ItsJustRyan For GRADING (CGC) Questions Boardie For RESTORATION Detection Boardie For SELLING on the BOARDS Boardie Etc. Etc. Etc. HS could wrap this in a spoiler in the main list and volunteers could offer to help on selected topics. Just an idea. Take it or leave it. Volunteers can help in more than one content area as well. Someone may be knowledgable on restoration detection and GA books, so they could volunteer to be listed under both header...
