Bill Messner-Loeb is an interesting fellow.

I've tried communicating with him. He doesn't respond to facebook posts lol

I met him at a con a couple of years ago. Very friendly and engaging. I think he has had some health problems.

From what I have read up on him, that is a yes. He was pretty down on his luck around '05-'06.

I am not sure, but I think he is developing projects again with several different publishers.

I do know that some of his artwork has been for sale on eBay. I tried to get a picture of the Maxx that was supposedly done by him, but lost the bid.

82.80 shipped. I saw only 3 on the census and it's brand new and thought what the heck.

The only recorded sale was for $99 this past July. You did ok.

Yeah but GPA isn't the end all, be all for comic prices. One noob buying for extravagant price ruins the curve.

Considering how tough that book is in 9.8, the $72 was a steal.

Big time. Had i seen it, i would have bid at least 100

Crispin and I were talking about the Yellows popping up on the Bay.

Yellow #1 (in the UK) and Yellow #2 graded 9.4 (overpriced x 3)

It's nice to see them pop up though!

How do you figure it's overpriced by three times...one just sold for $350...so by your logic a 9.4 should sell for $50 less than one which would probably grade 7.5.

Also, a #2 Yellow is 3.33 times more rare than a number one.

In that case I guess it's about right!

I was thinking $300ish for a #1 yellow in nice condition.

I know the Yellow print runs were all 500, but I didn't know the #2s were more scarce.

Here's the print runs:

#1 - #2 #3

4000 800 500

1500 500 350

500 150 100

50 50 50
