Coppers to buy before they explode

I can't believe there is so much debate over Marvel Age issues. I love it. Reminds me of the debates from old copper age threads. :cloud9:

I see them all the time in $1 boxes and never thought once to pick one up.

I would never keep one for my PC because I don't personally believe they're worth collecting, but would

love to sell one for a big profit to those who do.

I'm selling my Hulk 377 third print for the same reason. I don't give a hoot for variants or later prints of any kind and scarcity of a book for it's own sake means nothing to me, but for those who like this dreck I will be willing to serve that market. I will gladly trade my $1 purchase for your $200 or $300 dollars.

Please don't confuse me with some newb.

Noob.

N00bs scolding n00bs. :luhv:

Hot noob on noob action?

I don't think you get to 2k on those books if they were all graded 9.8 for free and shipped for free and came with a talking frog.

well, that weighs heavily on two factors:

A. What kinda frog are we talking about? If its Just a regular frog probably not. But I really like the ones with the big red eyes and bellies. Also, can I lick it and trip balls? If I do is he gonna give me a bunch of lip about it and or tell on me? These things matter.

B. Also, what kind of things does the frog say/how extensive is his vocabulary? A few corny words or phrases isnt going to get you to 2k. Now if he can hold a conversation or at the very least cuss like a sailor, I mmigt be in.

I didn't add all those up, but if they were all 9.8's I could see getting close to 2k profit.... NM 100 alone is a $140 book 9.8. ASM 344 is in the 120ish range 9.8

so those 2 books alone got him about about $400 profit....

That is if they were all 9.8's....

lol And, we just barely reached postage . . . ;)

Even with two of each, he's still got a long way to go. And, then there's that sticky little thing about actually SELLING the books

The $2000 profit I alluded to was based on taking 75% of latest eBAY high price for a CGC 9.8, and includes a press/grade for each book. Obviously not all will be

9.8 but expect most to be since none have anything more than minor non-color-breaking spine stress and some light bends. Pressing should correct most of them.

Not sure what shipping will cost but obviously a reduction, and eBAY fees will reduce the profit further.

These books cost me $25 at LCS so that would also have to be deducted.

I already told you guys back in January in another thread in this forum where to find these books, but I didn't get a single PM asking where these stores were.

I guess everybody already has all the books they want since I didn't see any of you

there trolling the dollar boxes.

And it's not the Golden Corral.

I try to help out my brother collectors and all I get for it is to be dissed as a noob.

Noob lesson #1 - don't count your profits before the books are graded, Noob lesson #2 Don't count your profits before they sell. At one point I had $100,000 of McSpidey books. Of course this was in 2006 and based on the 1993 prices. :insane:
