The WORD is LOVE By 1956 I believe Colletta had an epiphany ... Goodman wasn't going to pay more for better work. If he wanted the 4 bedroom house and the Cadillac it would have to be through volume. I'm thankful we had that year or so, early on, where Vince showed us what he was made of. Because of the night scene it could either be a badly printed color photo or a colorized B&W photo where the color was added by the color designer. DC Greytones were sometimes achieved by a carefully prepared color design laid on top of a b&w&gray original. P.S. Nice cover! jimjum12 and Dr. Love

PDGray
Picked this up not long ago. It's the Crowley Copy of a book called Life Story. I am fairly unfamiliar with the title but came across this particular book when I was looking for a book from the Crowley pedigree. This is issue #13 and is the highest graded copy of 3 on the CGC Census. The book is from April of 1951 and graded at a 9.2. Popular Post Rip
Got blown out on all of my other bids (like I usually do), but I couldn't pass this one up at Heritage tonight. I figured I would NEVER get a shot a better looking copy. Rip
A few of those My Own Romances were really nice also. Really wanted the 31 and wouldn't have minded the 41 as well. A lot of those Atlas romances books tonight just never come around in those grades. Dr. Love and jimjum12

Rip
That was in the other Atlas batch of Nice books from last week. I was too late to try and jump on it. Interesting to note, the most expensive romance Atlas books sold in these two batches (Aside from the Linda Carter book), was the Lovers 57 and 67. $840 for 57 (in 8.0) and $1200 for the (7.5 W) 67. The True Secrets 27 I picked up went for $720 which was the 3rd most expensive. Edited March 15, 2022 by Rip jimjum12

Such a great Hartley cover. Should have ponied up then! Rip
