First question, what was the defect in asm 300?

Lots of copies have a jagged cut down the right side. It's fairly common on this issue. CGC has stated they do not downgrade for this defect.

Glad I read this thread. I was looking at the right edge of my ASM 300 the other day and I was wondering why it was cut so roughly. I actually thought it might be a poor trim job of an overhang or something. So thanks! thumbsup2.gif

Well that's two new things I've learnt today - I'll have to get Archives no.2 and I hadn't heard of the T-shirt either... what does it look like?

Eclipse also did a square MM badge too?

Anything else you know of?

Just got the new "A1 Sketchbook" with a fantastic new MM / KM cover by Garry Leach.

BTW, there's a MM Gold on ebay now...

Ewan,

The Miracleman appearance in No. 2 is his name on the tombstone.

Also, the blue T-shirt looks like his costume, except it's on a blue T-shirt. There was a button set that was printed and sold by Eclipse. My local comic shop at the time had them in stock and kept them for a long time. The guy kept saying Miracleman was the next big thing ... too bad I didn't listen. The rarest items, though, might be any Miracleman stuff sent out for conventions, like promo buttons and stuff. Is there any of that stuff out there? I've got a promo MM poster, that is part of a poster with New Wave or some other Eclipse comic that didn't survive long. I've seen the square buttons for sale on eBay a couple of times and I don't think they ever sold for much.

I've never seen a MM T-shirt for sale outside of ads in the Eclipse comics and, I think, one in a small order form they sent me during the mid-1980s. I've watched eBay for the past six years looking for one and haven't seen one yet.

Maybe someday. It did, after all, take me a decade and a half to find the MM Gold and Blue.

Mike B.
