Not sure why his is news. We had similar groups in the 80s.

I was Sgt at Arms for ECBRA- the Eastern Comic Book Retailers Alliance which grew to almost a hundred members, and our moondog was a member of The direct Group, which banded a dozen of the biggest retailers together as a buying group.
