Very cool. One of my favorite McFarlane covers.

What are the differences between the American 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prints?

thanks!

the upc has a batcowl pic and the 3rd print says "DC Comics arent just for kids"

the 3rd print was in a 3 pack sold at Walmarts

1st print was direct and barcode

the canadian was the hardest to find of all of them

If you need a slabbed 9.8, let me know! :)~

Post your 9.8 love to see it

I have never been able to find one

Wish McFarlane would have stayed on Batman covers i think his talent would have been more suitable to Batman than Spiderman

My brother ended up buying it, he'll sell it. (Comicartfan) Send him a PM

Im not postive but i believe this might be a 3rd print. Not sure if they did 1st prints with the "DC Comics..."

ill have to check this out. If it is a 1st print then there would be 3 types...

2 Direct and one Newstand Barcode

Thanks Kevin76!

It's 3rd printing, I had the label changed out to say Third Printing" It has the turbographics 16 as the back cover. 1st prints have batman in the UPC. There is only 1 of these graded

Very cool I will check with your brother

This is exactly how I was able to build this set

Nearly half these books were found by others and brought them to my attention

Thanks again! (worship)

Brilliant collection. My second favorite cover of all time, only to Batman 404. I looked forever for a CGC 9.8, and found it on a random eBay search about a year ago with overpriced BIN, and haven't seen one since. Again, great collection, thank you for sharing.

Thank you very much. By showing my foreign sets I have had a lot of help from boardies help me locate the hard to find editions.

In any language, it's a beautiful McFarlane cover.

CGC incorrectly labeled the signature?

Thanks for sharing :):cloud9::foryou:

Haha, yeah, label says it was signed by Al Milgrom, but it sure looks like the book was actually autographed by McFarlane!

Weird that they'd screw that up since the signature was done during one of CGC's own autograph sessions...  Was Al there signing books at the same event?

Hey @solarcadet a few more 423 items to pick up:

The colored print is the "80 Years of Batman" print that Mondo put out a few years ago now.  Hand numbered, limited to 250.  24 x 36, and very, very fragile in terms of the actual screenprint.  If you end up with one, go over it carefully to make sure the screening has not chipped or scratched.

The Black and White Print is from the 2019 SDCC, and I think measures 18 x 24, and should come with a glossy cardstock 4 x 5 card with info about the print.  Only available by signing up for a visa card at the con. I think limited to 350, but hard to find with sharp corners and no roll bends or creasing.
