Issue #2 is out tomorrow. I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I hope the comic shop there carries this book.

I'm excited about that book too. Remender is always top notch and I like all of the art I've seen for the series so far.

I thought this would be heavily discussed this week. I hate to hear the 2nd book was predictable. I have high hopes for the series after reading the first issue.

I finally read #1.

I'm not a big fan of the cover. Just a bit cheeseball.

But the story was much better than I expected.

Look forward to getting #2 this weekend.

I liked #2 as well. Dare I say I prefer this small-town southern themed book over Southern Bastards....so far at least.

I probably shouldn't have called it predicable after two issues. Guess I'm a product of the instant gratification culture

 

It does speak to the recent high level of comic writing in general, however, that comic readers (i.e. Me) expect to Wowed within the first few issues of every new release. FTR, I'm still in on this title for at least the first arc.

I finally broke down and downloaded #2. I'm pretty happy I did. It left me wanting a lot more but it was very interesting imo. I'm in for long haul.

I just finished issue #3. It was very good but a little bit of a letdown after reading East of West #13 and Southern Bastards #3 as would nearly any other book I've read lately. I wish I'd read this issue first. It was pretty creepy which is what I like about it. Just when you think you know what's going to happen...
