Opened a "non delivery case" and asked for a refund two days ago when the tracking clearly showed that the item was already at the Portland post office (his adress is in Portland) ... item was delivered today.

He opened a non delivery case i made the refund ,5 days  after the refund item was delivered . I sent him a meesage asking me to pay me the book and answered me this: 

"Sorry my wife just told me this arrived I will try to send the money this weekend" . This was more than a month ago...

Sorry to hear about both of these. With the non-delivery case, does it automatically close if the item delivers or no?

Unrelated question, do you pay an international fee when shipping from Mexico to the US?

Yes they give me some days to reply and If the package shows before i make the refund Ebay sends me a message telling me that the book was delivered.... 

If i make a refund and item shows later the buyers normally reach to me and ask for my paypal ... 

Yes they make me pay extra fee when i sell to any international buyers because of the money convertion...

Either a misunderstanding about older CGG holders, or phishing for a partial refund. About a week after delivery he messaged me saying slab was full of cracks and that the sides were not sealed. I asked him for pictures, which he sent, but did not answer my questions about the corners and if they were still intact. Timing was suspect, book was delivered almost a week after he messaged me. I asked him if he wanted to return the book, then said he’d keep it.

The pictures he sent me.

Has also sold "back covers" of AF15 (2 copies), ASM 1,and an FF5 in recent months as well as other comics without back covers. 

Pretty certain there is no way of knowing that a particular back cover is from a particular issue if there are no parts of the front still attached. 

Tried reporting one of the listings but it wouldn't allow me to say why I thought it might be fraudulent.

Or just general PITA  - after 15,000 sales on ebay, I can kinda pick them now. 

 

"Close up pics of a single comic" in a 10 for $10 batch. 

"Has the case got any scratches"

"Can I come around and pay you cash"

"I didn't get it - tracking says you did - it was stolen / my housemate signed for it / I'm going to come down and kick your head in" etc etc etc 

"I don't have the money - can I pay for it in 3 weeks" 

" It's for my Son / Daughter / Hamsters Xmas present - can I buy it for 80% under the price you have" 

 

And my fave - "I only have $10 and my kid is sick" - well go buy some medicine, not a bloody comic.......

 

Heard most of them - been caught by some. Some utter scum on ebay - but mainly pretty nice, decent people.

Lowball initial offer (which is actually fine with me, it opens up a dialogue at least). I countered with a reasonable offer, and they re-countered with another kind of lowball, but ok enough that I accepted since I wanted to move the book. Then just ghosted, no payment, no response.

Purchased a cgc slabbed book, claimed our shipping was inadequate and demanded $50 in compensation to re-slab the book for 'damage' to the case. The damage they claim was micro-scratches to the case that were invisible in the photos they sent. When I offered a full return and free shipping on the return, they tried to haggle down to slightly less money for a refund. When I refused, they threatened me with a negative rating if I didn't pay them.

At this point you should be able to tell them to get bent. 

Ebay does not allow users to get what they want by threatening with negative feedback. 

Any negative they leave should get removed by Ebay once you show them the threat.

Too bad they aren't selling that $39.99 brain transplant they advertise on the back cover anymore. Sounds like this guy could have taken advantage of that.
