Does anybody else here read the webcomic Girl Genius?  They're doing a bit of a side story right now, with a guest artist, featuring a guild of monsters.  Wednesday they introduced a new character; although it wasn't until today that it clicked that the new character had a very distinctive lettering style.  (The strip has used various styles of lettering for different voices in the past, but they haven't used this one before that I'm aware of.)

Very nice! You got many of the coolest ones. Just be patient and grab the right ones at the right price. You will get there!

From the EC "stems and seeds" bottom of the shallow end...

Got these two as well as the big fat one in the hoard I picked up last week. Really wasn't after these but they came along for the ride when I bought the rest.

Technicaly, these aren't really even ECs.

Actually, the #2 is a real EC, arguably the first.  The indicia says published by Educational Comics, Inc.

Agreed it's a shallow end book, but since it's the first it's a shallow end book I feel every EC collector should have nonetheless.

The Picture Stories are easiliest my least favorite ECs. I had them all once but other than reading them when I got them, I never opened them again. When I sold off my original EC collection. They were the first to go. I see no reason to just store any more books just to be a completist.

I can understand their historical place in comics but like the early humor ones, I won’t go out of my way or pay up for them.
