Last night on Heritage an Impact 1 in 5.0 went for $1300, which is over five times what that book last sold for in that grade. Some new recognition for Krigstein, no doubt.

But it makes no sense….it’s not even the Charlton variant, which is supposed to be scarcer.

It is hard to get your head around, certainly.

So, let me get this straight…someone paid a premium for a comic book not for a cover, or a first appearance, or pedigree, or variant rarity… but because they liked a fricken story?! In an ANTHOLOGY?!

And if that happened, I could see somebody preferring the Yellow logo over the White, since the story is printed better in that version. (I know I deliberately got a yellow logo copy for that reason.)

I'm just waiting for a seller to claim that Crime Suspenstories #26 should be considered the first appearance of the story because of the cover.

On a side note, I really should grab a Crime Suspenstories #26 before it goes crazy like so many other EC's are these days...

Hi guys.

I was hoping someone could help with a few scans/pics of

Weird Science 13 (2) last story “…the man who raced time” pages 5 & 6.

I might be able to figure it out but if anyone has the book and time Id appreciate it!

I could provide (pics) from a recolorized reprint (EC Archives Vol. 1). If that'll do I'll take some shots in the morning.

It's a good story.
