Strange that they didn't put an ad in the Post this time around, yet Shoff had an ad for a show next week.

Hmmm.....My LCS had flyers advertising the show. confused-smiley-013.gif

Is "Shoff" the show that's at the Mont. County Fairgrounds? Only reason to go to that one is to hit on the Playmates. devil.gif

Great to see Dan, Chrisco,Harry (ShieldAgent) and his daughter Elizabeth! Boy can she comb through those longboxes for variants! I've had one heck of a rough Sunday morning so it was nice to get away and I always have fun at this show since I look forward to catching up a bit with forumites. I missed Lantern and his lovely wife, but will probably see them next time at the new venue (Dunn Loring Volunteer Fire Dept?).

Since I finished my set of 30 cent variants, I really haven't been looking for anything in particular so I picked a few things up today:

Lois Lane 39,41,59 ( I hoard these foreheadslap.gif - it's that slapping action that gets me to pull the trigger everytime), 62, and 101 - some midgrades - perfect resto practice candidates devil.gif

I really love finding these in HG:

Here's a pickup for Pedro, our inquisitive forumite from the far reaches of France, She-Hulk - Titania battle, made me think of this month's SheHulk issue:

Here's a weird modern cover, thought I'd share tongue.gif

These My Loves crack me up everytime, I just missed picking up one with this guy and a truly funky green flourescent coat that only the Master of the Short Shorts could have pulled off today. Here's Gwen Stacy, go-go dancer...

and last but not least, this is one sweet catfight cover, pretty much an accurate depiction of Chrisco's typical dates (i.e., they can't even get Chris's name right tongue.gif )

Sorry if I sounded abrupt, but I probably would have enjoyed going to that show.

I actually have no idea how far Tyson's Corner is from me (if you look on the map at the point where Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky meet, that's where I am - not far from here is the place where you can lie spread-eagle on the ground and be in three states at once!). But I have a sister on the far side of Virginia, and if need be I can hit any point in the state and have a friendly place to spend the night without driving for too many hours.
