I'm on business in Asia and currently watching Punisher - War Zone for the first time...

 

Man - who owns the rights to that and how did they ever agree to make such a bad piece of $#@?

I actually really enjoy the Thomas Jane Punisher - not at all what I expected, and a surprisingly good effort.

 

The problem was it was released the same month as Denzel Washington's "Man on Fire" remake, which is basically the same exact movie, done 10x better.

I was surprised that I liked Man on Fire as much as I did.

A man can be an artist... In anything, food, whatever. Creasey's art is death. He's about to paint his masterpiece.

It's main problem was that it was released on the same day with the MUCH more anticipated revenge movie follow-up... "Kill Bill Vol. 2".

It is soooo bad.....

 

I re-watched it a couple weeks ago.

 

I can' believe it got made.

 

And it even stars guys from Rome and The Wire, which were both outstanding.

Man, War Zone is AWESOMELY bad. I mean, what's not to love about this:

 

 

And it has an accurately portrayed Micro AND an accurate Battle Van. IMHO, it's the best of all the Punisher efforts.

Man on Fire is great. Denzel is my favorite actor, and I really though that film was done well. The whole cast was actually very, very good in that film.
