Show Your Action Comics Collection no. 25-74

I had some time in my hotel room today, so I did the tally so far.

 

Of these early (not earliest) Action Comics we have now collectively covered about a third of the run. 34 issues, however, we have not even a single book for.

 

Looking at it - it looks like there is a clear overrepresentation of higher grades on our board (compared to the market). I didn't check the census - are any of these books the highest on record?

 

Also, two issues stand out 31 and 40 as being more present amongst us. Also it seems that we lack books in the 60ties and 70ties.

The cover to #61, and the classic war covers in the #60s posted above, are by the amazing Jack Burnley. What's quite underrated are some of the interior stories he drew earlier in the run, circa #33-35 or so (not sure how many there were). Here's a dazzling Burnley interior page from Action #33. I think Lois has rarely looked better, and the linework and even the lettering are just beautiful.
