That was a great contest, Pov. Congrats to Arty for winning it! I do wish that the pre-code tome promised in Tales to Terrible to Tell had come to fruition, but oh well.

 

EC did come awfully close to another horror title with Crime SuspenStories, since they did begin to include one Old Witch guest story in each ish. For that matter, SHOCK SuspenStories wasn't that far off either.

 

Neither quite evolved into a pure horror book though, in the manner that Story's Fight Against Crime did. Love that EC-ripoff Story horror!
