The Defining Atomic Age Cover?

64 posts in this topic

What cover best represents the Atomic Age and the fears/anxiety people had about the Bomb and the Cold War in general? Which book has the defining or ultimate Atomic Age cover?

Thanks for any insight.

Yep, Atomic War and World War III get my vote........ both classic covers too.

Definitely those two.

Yup. Both were very high on my to get list. Glad I have them :)

While I love both covers, there's one thing that bothers me about the World War III cover - the caption "cutting" across the atomic explosion. Kind of "interrupts" the power of the explosion. It would have been better across the top like Atomic War 1 imho.

Where's the one with the kid, a dog and a A-bomb going off in the distance? I can't recall the title of the book.... hm

Parade of Pleasure or Picture Parade IIRC.

Sorry, don't have a scan. I'm sure one will come along shortly...

Found it
