Wolverine, Cocked back arm pose

9 posts in this topic

I was noticing that there are a ton of Wolverine cover shots that have him with one claw forward and one arm cocked back.

Here are just a few. I noticed how a master like Frank Miller avoids that with the mini series covers.

Maybe because the covers always show him in a fighting stance.

When you actually fight, one arm is always back, while the other one is up and more foreward.

Maybe not quite that far back, but alot of those covers have him cocked back ready to throw the punch too.

If anyone has read Neal Adams "Sketchbook", it really allows you to get into the guy's head to see what made him tick...the guy litteraly tried to re-invent the wheel everytime he drew something...tried not to do what was already done..tried to grab you and carry you through the story.....IMO, the mark of a true master of the trade, just like "lanky Frank Miller" hail.gifALL HAIL...has Adams ever drawn Wolvy, esp. on a cover? Just a thought.... 893scratchchin-thumb.gif
