MightyCon DuPage County Fairgrounds (chicago suburb) TODAY Sept. 27th at 10am

Do you know if there is a flea market that day also ? I remember last year the wife and I went tot the Flea Market, paid our 5.00 each and I saw the comic show. At first, I thought it was part of the flea market but not so. They wanted another 5.00 to enter this show ??? Is this going to happen again? The only entrance was through the flea market. The show was decent but not big enough or robust enough enough to justify a 10.00 entry. Sorry.

I'll be there, hoping to avoid buying $1 flips (like I usually do) and instead buying keepers for my collection.

Bob - A few times when Mighty Con has run at DuPage there was a parallel Flea Market going on. From what I understand - and what I have paid - the two are mutually exclusive.

You can pay $5 to go just to the Flea Market, or $5 to go just to Mighty Con, or $10 for both.

I sold a cgc 9.4 ASM 361 for $125

Wolverine 1 cgc 8.5 for $75

Partial Star Wars set for $110

Those were my big sales.

Not bad at all on that ASM 361. Didn't think there were many big spenders there, or CGC buyers.

It was a couple that picked up the wolverine and ASM. They didn't negotiate on the price, just brought the books over and paid my asking price. :)

I was not expecting to get $125 for the ASM361.

Almost sold my cgc 6.5 Hulk 180, but the guy never came back after asking me to hold the book for him. (I didn't hold the book.)

I was there. Were you in #2 building and your booth faced south?

I have a horrible sense of direction. I was in the building where they sell food. My booth was the one with all the key books laid out on the table since I don't have a wall display. I brought the Avengers 4, X-Men 4 and 5 copies of Wolverine 1.

I wish you would have mentioned you had CGC books and some key Silver. It sounded like you were only bringing long boxes of drek ?!?

I've found that I do pretty well with the graded books at these smaller shows because other people don't bring them. My best sales day was at a small hotel show with maybe 100 guests. Sold a cgc graded ASM 10 and 17 at premiums since I was the only one who had those kind of books.
