Marvel Studios Announces Phase 3 Lineup

"Marvel Studios is taking a page from Silicon Valley, and issued a surprise, and mysterious, invitation for Tuesday, October 28. The invitations, extended to Newsarama and other sites that cover comic book movies, says nothing other than the date, the morning time, and the location of the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. The invitation certainly brings to mind what Apple has done when announcing a major product in the past. It does specify the event is a Marvel Studios one, not Marvel Comics.

So what could be big enough for their own “special event”? Following Warner Bros.' Internet-capturing DC movie reveal last week, immediate speculation has to turn to Phase 3 of Marvel's film slate. Will we get an official announcement on Captain America: Civil War? Maybe they finally have some casting and other information about Doctor Strange. Or heck, even something out of left field, like a Captain Marvel announcement could take place. Whichever way it pans out, you can bet an event like this, which is relatively unprecedented in the industry, will likely have something major to reveal."

I was shocked at how much I didn't enjoy that movie, the last one. It was a total miss. And the score, oh my the score. The music cues were all wrong.

El Capitan? That's the kind of place where movie premieres are held... Early screening or preview of A2?? :o

They did do something like that with GOTG, but I don't recall it being that far out.

FYI its spidey but you didn't hear it from me

If we thought the Internet exploded with Avengers 2 trailer, I would expect it to go nuclear if this was the case. Especially with the buildup story leading to Cap 3.

It's to announce that they've landed Macy Gray to sing a song on screen in Avengers 2, so as to make it feel "timeless, and not at all dated two years later."
