The success of this movie unfortunately won't pull Black Panther up to a "A" list character in the Marvel Universe. You don't need to look any further than Guardians of the Galaxy as an example. "B" characters before the movie and "B" characters today after two movies and countless attempts by Marvel to create a GOTG comic that has longevity. the Marvel Universe is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. the monthly publications aren't even the tail that wags the dog, they are the ticks that fly off the dogs tail. BP will make a half a billion dollar profit; has the publishing division made that amount of profit in its entire existence?

Definitely more people have watched a Marvel movie than have read a Marvel comic. Which is why they can get away with not staying true to the printed characters. They have definitely forged a new direction for many of the characters in the movies and if it wasn't for the names and some other tidbits, many of them would be unrecognizable to someone familiar with the comics. My understanding is many people who read the comics even prefer the movie version over the comic version. Edited March 31, 2018 by rjrjr

Chaos_in_Canada
Facebook Shuts Down ‘Black Panther’ Troll Group http://variety.com/2018/film/news/black-panther-rotten-tomatoes-facebook-1202685658/#article-comments Quote Social media giant Facebook has taken action against a group who aimed to sabotage the Rotten Tomatoes audience score for “Black Panther.” Facebook has removed the Down With Disney’s Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys page, which was led by a professed member of the alt-right. The group created a Facebook event called “Give Black Panther a Rotten Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes” with the intention of falsely deflating the movie’s score on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes as revenge for the perceived slights against fans of DC films due to their low scores. comic_memories and ComicConnoisseur

Well, since it is super to have someone posting cast interviews from two-three months ago I figured they would want to relive the entire experience.
