Just found a Flash #94 DCU. I'll scan it tonight.

So this book has a first and second print, plus a DCU. I was very pleasantly surprised to find it.

Nice find!

Thanks! I almost passed it over because I have both first and second prints and this book was not thought to have a DCU variant. I'm glad I looked more closely. This, and the Looney Tunes #15 I found back at the end of August, really underscore the need to check any DCs from this time period. You never know when you might find a new DCU.

Thanks! I almost passed it over because I have both first and second prints and this book was not thought to have a DCU variant.

By who? I've got one in a box somewhere. At this point, I would be very surprised to find ANY DC book from 1994-late 96 that doesn't have one.

Earlier in the thread there was a conversation about it, and Revat took it off the list because there were some books where a second print may have been confused for being a DCU. It was originally on the master list, then it was taken off.

this sounds right. Its probably happened in more than one case. I think that IF the cover or storyline was too violent, there was no reprint, like Wonder Woman 83

Just to be sure, the DCU books aren't reprints, except in a few instances (Green Lantern #36, for example, of #47, or the Superman books, which are entities to themselves.)

The ones for the packs were printed at the same time as the regulars, and are just regular first printings.

I didn't read the conversation about the Flash #94...if I had, I would have said it earlier. ;)

I stumbled across this thread while searching for information about DC Comics Collector's Packs and hope you don't mind if I briefly interrupt to ask about the Star Trek comics that were bundled with the DC Universe logo UPC variants.

Earlier in the thread, jerome34 posted a count of 16 Star Trek comics with a Star Trek logo and later on, someone else posted that ST #55 and ST:TNG #55 were published with the DC Bullet. That's a total of 18 Trek UPC variants which I believe are Star Trek #55 thru #63 and Star Trek: The Next Generation #55 thru #63.

In your exploration of the DC Comics of this time period, has anyone found any other Star Trek UPC variants?

Thanks and I'll return you to your regularly scheduled DC Universe programming.

Just curious, if any has the DCU upc covers for Flash 94, 109, 110, 114, or 117 that they would be willing to sell! I'm also looking for the Zero Hour upc cover to Flash 0.

If anyone is willing to part with these or knows where I can get my hands on them a private message would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thanks

They're all quite tough in my experience. I've never even seen the #109 and up variants, and bought the only #94 I have seen. The Zero Hour variants in general aren't easy, and the Flash for whatever reason seems particularly elusive.

Good luck! :gossip: If you come across any doubles of the #109 and up let me know!

I'll definitely let you know if I find any. And, if you want to get rid of that Flash 94 just let me know!! I must have it!

:takeit:

Thanks!

Shameless plug, I have a lot of DCUs for sale at reasonable prices in my sales thread. I've got nearly 50 of these variants available, stop by and give it a look! I'm also open to trades for DCUs I need.

It is wonderful that, out of the monstrous excesses of the early 90's, that several niche elements have emerged (2nd/3rd/later printing variants, DCU variants, certain ashcans, variants) that are legitimately a challenge to track down.

Now, does anybody need any Shadowman #19 10 packs...?
