I've been looking for DCU's since 2010, and Jerome Wenker had been looking for them since the mid-2000's.   The number of previously undiscovered ones has definitely slowed down to a dribble in the last 3 or 4 years.  But you can almost be sure there will be some more popping up from time to time (it is asymptotic, so I suppose a mathematician could figure out the theoretical number of years it would take to find them all).

mail call! adding a couple more DCUs, DC bullets, and Batman logo 

The Mask of the Phantasm had the batman logo on the back. I'm assuming it didn't ever come in the packs so it doesn't count as part of the Batman logo subset of the DCUs but it caught my eye

 

Did a count and looks like I have 220 left to find, so far to go!!!!

Shown below in one place are all known DC Universe (and DC bullet/zero hour) variants for Superman Man of Steel.  I was able to obtain them all thanks to @onlyweaknesskryptonite, @archivist, Jerome Wenker, and others.  The DC Universe variants of SM MOS 20, 39, and 50 are all very hard to find.   @archivist found the SM MOS 50 DCU variant in Germany (go figure).

Note that there are two copies of SM MOS 30 and 42, because there are two different versions of each variant.  SM MOS 30 has one variation with nothing in the indicia and another variation with "Collector Pack 1st Printing" in the indicia even though the front and back covers are identical.  SM MOS 42 has a non-stickered DC Universe variant, and a stickered DC Universe variant (the stickered issues are discussed earlier in this thread).

The two variations of the SM MOS 30 DCU variant indicia are shown side by side in this photo.

This might have been asked, and if so, apologies. I'm a bit of a rookie. When the DC Universe logo books are graded and slabbed, are they labeled differently? I have a few Green Lantern's, Superboy's, and just got Nightwing #1 with the DC Universe label. .

I think the answer is generally not.  I wouldn't be surprised if you could find the occasional anecdotal example where it is specifically labeled, but they don't usually distinguish, unless the policy has recently changed..

Absolutely a I just took 2 seconds to look it up on eBay myself and I think you can pull $4-$8 in raw near mint pretty easily.

but I bet if you had a Cgc 10.0 you could get $500

"1993" Batman Back to School Sets

There are (at least) two different versions of the Batman Back to School Sets that contain Batman Adventures.  The first contained Batman Adventures #10-11 along with notepad, pencil, and poster but neither comic has the bat signal logo.  I was almost positive there was another version, and up until recently couldn't find one.  Then I saw two different listings pop up on Ebay in the last two month and was able to confirm-- you can just faintly see Bag Signal logo peeking through the outer plastic bag on some of the sets.  The only real distinguishing feature on the outside of the bag is the bar code on the bag. This second set contained Batman Adventures #21 and #22, both with Bat Signal logos, along with the usual pencil, pad, and poster.  Given the publication dates of the issues in question it seems pretty apparent the first set came out in August/September of 1993 while the second set would have come out in 1994 (despite the outer bag copyright being 1993).  Of possible interest, the indicia for Batman Adventures #10 lists 'Second Printing' despite the cover not having a Roman numeral II as was typical for the time period. The rest of the issues have no notations in the indicia.  The 1996 back to school set has a different plastic bag and contains the DCU UPC of Batman & Robin Adventures #8 and the Bat Silhouette UPC of Batman & Robin Adventures #9 (with cover dates of July & August '96 consistent with these Back to School Sets).  I am wondering if anyone is aware of a 1995 Batman Back to School set that would theoretically be the source for DCU logo versions of Batman Adventures #35 & #36?  

For the record, if you are looking for the Bat Signal version of the set. you want the bar code that contains only numbers: 70989 30371.  The non-Bat Signal version has 37ANC1043 printed at the top of the bar code.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm with the bat logo was in the January 1994 20-pack.  It was in the front of the pack with Batman Adventures 16.

Yes, that one came in one of the Superman Collector Sets circa 1995. The outer package was Superman Battles His Fiercest Foes (keep in mind there were several sets with this front title, all with different content) with Superman: Man of Tomorrow #1 showing in the cutout. The rest of the set is all DCU logos such as the Wedding Album, Steel #1, and 2 Superboy titles.  I can share a photo later when I am at my computer if you'd like.

does that mean it needs added to the supplemental DCU pack logo list?
