Just pulled out a stack of Annual 14 from the long boxes. 5 NM + copies. If these are comparable to 266 like everyone is saying I should be able to get around $100 a book, yes?

CGC 9.8's are going for around $150.

Yes, but did they point those listings to this thread? Easy $300 now.

(:

I think a stronger argument (266 over Ann 14) can be made for the fact that he is truly a Jim Lee character. hm

(Although in my mind, I always think of the Andy Kubert cover to XM 266.)

But Lee didn't draw #266 either. Mike Collins did.

No he didn't, but it was Jim Lee's character based on his earlier original sketches.

Sure. But it was also Jim Lee's design in Annual #14.

Not trying to be difficult here, I just don't understand what you mean.

This thread assumes the rule is 1st published makes it a first appearance. 1st appearance should be first drawn.

If one applies this logic to 2nd appearances as well, then Marvel Super Heroes #10 Summer Special 1992 is the 2nd appearance of Sabertooth, because the story was originally intended for Ms. Marvel #24, which was never published.

Let's see someone try to make that stick.
