Has anyone seen any movement of Flash #117, first Captain Boomerang (Suicide Squad)?

hm

GPA doesn't have a whole lot of data on this one.

We are talking years since sales for almost all of the grades.

Yeah, and it's a rather scarce book too. I'm wondering if this could be the next Groot book. hm

Actually, the CGC census shows 142 Universal graded books of TTA 13. Flash 117 has 101. Captain Boomerang is presently more rare than Groot.

Do you think he's going to be in the Flash movie? 'Cause he was super lame in the show.

There is a character in Suicide Squad named Boomerang, that would be him.

Makes sense. There was already one iteration of Boomerang on the Flash tv show, and it was pretty bad. Not horrible for a tv show, but not at all good either.

Not to be a spoiled sport, but, movie/TV show or not, at least 80% of this list is junk, and the books are not, nor will ever be "keys".

I slightly disagree. Out of the 86 books posted, the ones I highlighted in red seem to be sure fire keys. There is some junk on there I'll admit.

Okay, just forget the word "KEYS". These are comics being driven by movies, TV or speculation.

Is that better? :foryou:

I changed the title to reflect this.

Please recommend which items should NOT be on the list.

This is fair. The books on the list have all experienced price growth based on movie/TV speculation. I just can't get behind calling books that were in dollar bins or trading for less than $50 before, a "key" now just because a movie featuring a character was announced. Some of them were and are legitimate keys regardless. DD 1 and BB 28 for example.

I almost think this list would be more instructive and interesting if it just contained the "junk" that is "only" collected by some now because of a TV/movie announcement (and I will go on the record as owning much of the "junk" myself and even having paid a princely sum on occasion for some of these post-alternative media announcement books lol ). Just remove the pre-existing actual bona fide keys altogether from the list (even if they also experienced additional price bumps from a movies as well).

The ones stricken from the list were already generally accepted as "keys" prior to any alternative media announcements. While some also experienced inorganic price increases after an announcement (like BA12), they were still not dollar bin fodder (or found very inexpensively relative to their ages like hulk 271, MP 4 and 7, legends, x-factor, etc., etc. etc).

My 2 cents.

I agree with you on most of that, but I'd like to keep the list as it was, please. There are books that were keys before, but have experienced a bump in price driven by Movie, TV or speculation associated by movies & TV......so let's please keep them where they were. Let's just keep it simple. (thumbs u

I just think that mixing keys that were generally accepted beforehand and experienced an additional price spike after an announcement with stuff that was irrelevant and/or dollar bin fodder that "only" became collected because of one can be a bit misleading.

They are two different animals and should probably be two different lists IMO.

You started the thread however so I concede to your preferences of course. (thumbs u
