How old are Golden Age Collectors?

31 years young. Bought my first golden age book (Archie #19) in 1994. Really got started in 2000; amassed most of a MLJ run (Have owned Archie 1-100, Pep 1-65, almost every Zip Comic at one point. Sold the run late in 2003 for a down payment on a house. I still buy books when I get good deals, but it's not like the apartment days where I had lots of spare cash. I make quite a bit more now, but with mortgage payments and 7% into the 401k, I actually have less. Growing up sucks! I will continue to buy Golden Age books for the rest of my life.

See, we're not all old fogies!

I'm 34 too....that's weird....I thought everyone would be older than me.....My first GA book was Thrilling # 11 in 1981..... Coolest thing is that it had some kids name rubberstamped on the cover..."ALVIN".....seventeen years later I got a copy of Adventure # 52 (cool hourman cover) from the same kids collection....the ALVIN pedigree....

What a blast from the past, guess the rumors of the demise of crusty old Golden Age collectors was premature.
