1st Appearance of The Power Rangers?
1 1

Same deal here. This was the first graded RR 1. I bet the more recently graded ones say First Appearance......

The most recent Rachel Rising #1 label is still the same... no indication of appearances.

When they update the label information in the database, it updates all those graded on their website:

https://www.cgccomics.com/grading/verify-cgc-comic.aspx?cgc-comic-cert=1059290015

Yours is still unchanged, so they're all unchanged.

The Saga #1 example a few posts back shows that the certification lookup will change when the database does.

I'm sure if I send my Saga #1 in to get reholdered, they will print out a new label with the key notes on it.

Definitely... because they "seal in" the edge of the label, they'll have to print a new label.

(It's likely that a Signature Series CGC 9.6 was the first graded RR 1. It showed up on the census a week before your book.) :gossip:

EDIT: Confirmed... this one was graded 6 days earlier:

First graded 9.8 then! I got that book as a fluke, a subscription service guy was selling me 5 unclaimed moderns for $100 plus shipping to get rid of his stack that had not been paid for and I was just starting to buy CGC's and thought that was a good way to accumulate some fast. I did it about 6 times, and got several good ones (now) but the RR 1 is probably the best. My only condition was no doubles and nothing less than a 9.8!

Yep, that was a good deal. (thumbs u

Sounds like something that can be posted in the "Ask CGC" forum.

It'll never show up because it's moderation controlled. I took plenty of time listing label updates on 2 separate threads for nothing to be posted, replied, acknowledged, etc. What a waste...

Wait, it's actually the 2nd appearance of the Power Rangers in comics?

So which is the first? :o

Or did CBCS get it wrong?

As if it happens to be right, then there's a Power Rangers comic which predates December 12, 1994? As even on CGC's Census there's no book which predates Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers; unless it's a very overt Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger one?

Mighty%20Morphin%20Power%20Rangers%201_zpshtjftcuv.jpg

But then I found out about a very are Power Rangers comic which was released inpackages of Fruit of the Loom Power Rangers underwear, here https://archive.org/details/PowerRangersComics

It's a bit similar to that comic book 'Almost Got Him' which was a mini-comic dated 1993, yet predates Harley Quinn's "first appearance" in Batman Adventures 12; the text at the back of the comment apparently states,

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Fruit of the Loom® Premium #1,

1994. Published for Fruit of the Loom® by The Bruce Hamilton Com-

pany, 21 2 S. Montezuma, Prescott, AZ 86303, under the Hamilton Comics

imprint. © 1994 Fruit of the Loom and © 1994 Saban Entertainment,

Inc. and Saban International N.V. All rights reserved. Might Morphin

Power Rangers and all logos, character names, and distinctive

likenesses thereof are trademarks of Saban Entertainment, Inc. and

Saban International N.V. This publication is for promotional purposes

only; it is not for sale.

Printed in the U.S.A."

There's no month, only the year 1994.

As a general rule...I don't count "underwear comics" when determining first appearances.

Woah right? I dont exactly know :o

But I'm sure you may have been refering to Sentai #2 which was released in April 1994; but was that the first appearance of the Power Rangers? :3

Seems like a strong candidate if 8 months later CBCS are claiming Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to be the 2nd appearance. But then again there were at least one or two other Power Rangers' comics out during April as well ~

Candidates for the 1st Appearance of the Power Rangers

Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1

Although CBCS are classing it as the 2nd.

Disney Adventures Magazine

April 1994

Sentai #2

April 1994

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Fruit of the Loom® Premium #1

Included in Fruit of the Loom underwear; 1994
