North Texas Comic Book Shows is pleased to announce our next show on Saturday November 14th, 2015. This will be our 2nd annual MAD Magazine event hence the MAD About Dallas II moniker.

 

So, who's coming?

 

MAD Crew

Paul Coker Jr. - One of the original MAD artists from the 1960's. Paul also worked for Rankin/Bass and did art for the TV special Frosty The Snowman.

Annie Gaines Ashton - wife of MAD founder William Gaines and former editor.

Peter Kuper - artist and writer on the Spy vs. Spy series for the last 18 years.

Scott Nickel - MAD artist and writer. Also works with Garfield's Jim Davis on BOOM! comic title.

David DeGrand- returns for year two, MAD artist.

Kit Lively - MAD artist returns for year two!

 

Featured guests

Rick Goldschmidt - Rankin/Bass historian. He's the expert on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Mad Monster Party, and the life of Rankin/Bass.

Patrick Owsley - cartoon artist who does work for Hanna-Barbera, Time Warner, Disney, and others.

Andrew Mangum - Evil Ernie dealer incentive cover, inker, Zenoscope.

Matthew Waite added to the November 14th Dallas Comic Book Show.

 

Matthew Waite is a comic artist living in Chicago IL. Matthew has done cover art for Marvel's Deadpool, Wolverine, Avengers Arena and Superior Foes of Spider-Man. He as also worked on Valiant's Bloodshot and X-O Man of War. He recently created a limited variant cover for IDW Publishing's Skylanders book. There will be a limited number of the comics available for autographs.
