A cool new crime book hit my mailbox today! Every thing one could want in a crime book. Two drug stories. One about kids stealing gum laced with dope and one where a guy goes crazy wearing pajamas with opium infused in the material. A couple of crazy croaked dames and a cool Jack Kamen lighthouse GGA red dress cover. Doesn’t get much wilder.

You don’t get this much excitement if it’s all locked up in a slab…

Ive been wanting copy of this since I first heard about it here on the boards, but thought Id never be able to get one because of price. The ones Ive seen offered here on the boards were in way better shape and $200+

Got lucky and saw this as a sponsored post on ebay and won. Low grade but complete! Ill be reading soon!

Cross post in pre code purchase

Kinda boring cover… After you read it, you really need to post a few interior shots…

Agreed.  That tame cover definitely hides some really graphic depictions.  Great pickup!

Damn, he even killed the poor dog. Maybe not the sickest but certainly in the top 3 or 5 crime stories. The story of the woman who kills her children with a meat cleaver also comes to mind.

I guess what fascinates me is how any kid with a dime could buy this…

"The Widow of Death" in Underworld True Crime Stories #3 is one of, if not THE sickest and most depraved story in comic books.  But remember, 75% of Post War and early '50's comics were allegedly bought by adults.  The edge comics had, was that they could portray scenes that the movies could not, at the time.

75% adults? That cannot be right...
