ROLY-POLY COMICS # 12 – I made a trade for this book recently but am selling now. $300!

Green Publishing Co., 1946)

 

Check out the "Betty and Veronica harem-girl" cover.

Grade: An incredible looking copy that 'but for' the rust on the 2

staples would command a Very high grade.

Seller's Notes:

This 1946 comic looks and feels newsstand-fresh. A super supple, solid,

very glossy and very sharp 70-year old comic with

supple white pages.

But for the rust on

the 2 tight staples, which has slightly migrated to some of

the corresponding interior page areas where the staples attach including and

esp. so the CF staples we would be talking near mint.

A bit of slight rubbing on the top right corner of the FC, where 6.00 is written in pencil and a light

stain on the top left corner of the BC.

Manufacturing / production of this comic is quite unique if not rare. This book was given

the wrong interior pages at the time of production. My internet research shows that the contents

of this book is actually the complete contents of

Atomic Comics #2

which was published by the same company and same year as Roly-Poly # 12 (this explains the mix-up). You might consider this a bonus since the contents here now contains in-part the following:

Kid Kane by Matt Baker

Appearances by Lucky Wings, Congo King, Prop Powers (his only appearance), and Inspector Dayton.

This comic is 100% complete but with the wrong interior and no restoration

The interior is awesome. Very minor staple pulls is about it. That upper staple was not detached when I sent it in and I think it is just pulled now. See pics. $140 firm.
