GWAcrylics. I think he makes / made the ones for them but not too sure. I buy mine directly from him, might want to ping him and see what he has available. I have all my Joes and TMNT in stuff from him.

Picked up some G1 goodness at my LCS’s Black Friday sale today. Prices were already pretty good, but with the BF 20% off, these all came in at $40 a pop, which is a steal for the Highbrow and Unicron (complete!) and not bad for Ratbat (silver guns!) and Blurr (super tight, clean, and unbroken shield).

Would have bought more, but already spent a bit at the Hasbro Pulse BF sale. At 20% off I went ahead and picked up Sludge and Motormaster, as I’ve still not seen them locally, and picked up the Wreck n Ruin Springer as well. Thinking about going back for some Shattered Glass stuff, but have probably spent enough for one day as is!

Rat Bat is one of the best cassettes.   Ears are always missing. 

High Brow has a special place in my toy heart.   Such a cool piece.

Thanks Patrick! Yes, I had to jump on Ratbat, he was in such nice shape, as were all of these. I didn't have High Brow as a kid, so I'm happy to have him now!

Pays to be nice.  Was going to be sold to someone else and a million people in line to buy, but honesty moved me to the front. 

Box on the Optimus Powermaster is rough, but complete.  Looks like the toy was hardly ever played with.  Bought from the original owner.

My 2nd Hound but this one isn't complete.   Very nice shape.   I was surprised how few of people were interested.

Finally picked up a Porky Pine to finish my 1969 Pogo vinyl figure set. Not valuable or hard to find, I'd just never gotten around to it. Saw one on ebay last week for about $9 shipped, thought I may as well grab him and finish the gang. There's not much Pogo merch out there, as I suppose his heyday was before merchandising really became a big thing for cartoon strips (aside from Shmoo, obviously!) It's a shame more folks are familiar with Walt Kelly's work, as he's one of the best to ever pick up a brush, and the strips are timeless and charming.

Ran across a vintage Castle Grayskull lot on eBay - picture was a lot of random parts along with the castle, including some pieces that didn't go with the set. I have the new Origins castle, but I haven't owned an original since my brother sold mine when I was away at college, so I went for this one. Based on the photos in the listing, it actually looked to be fairly complete, and I was pretty happy to clean it up and put it together tonight.

Here's the pic from the listing:

 

Here it is put together with an Origins He-Man - disregard the clutter please, some boxes that need to be recycled... . Overall, it's missing the elevator shaft and pull mechanism, the flag pole and flag, the banner sticker and the cardboard cutouts, plus a couple of other accessories are incomplete (see below):

 

Some of the weapons, the training quintain and an extra laser gun top - no quintain base or weapons rack unfortunately.

 

Extras - a cracked throne, the throne room base, trap door and mechanism, and a top platform:

 

Plus these pieces from other sets - the snake and gate from Snake Mountain, the lower base to Point Dread and the grappling hook from a Wind Raider:

 

Now I can recreate this pic of me as a kid!

I had a weapons rack sitting around for about 1 year and pitched it. 

I'll look to see if I have any extras in my accessory pile, but I don't recall any.

Thanks, I'd take it if you find one! I was hoping there'd be a place out there that 3D prints replica pieces like the elevator shaft piece - it's one of the most broken pieces there are on the original castle - but I haven't found any repro sites for that. I might spring the $20-30 to pick one up on eBay, there are a couple out there and they show up from time to time. I might get a set of repro cardboard pieces too, those are definitely available.

Turns out I'm getting I'm getting a real treat this Christmas (well, it's a combined Xmas/birthday present). My family are buying me my first and only Hot Toys figure. It's costing over $500AU so it won't become an addiction, but it's certainly a special and memorable gift (they all are, but you know what I mean). 

I chose something I've been obsessed with since childhood, the Star Wars Return Of The Jedi Scout Trooper. No speeder bike, just the trooper. The bike would be another 800 or so, and I don't really think I need the bike anyway. 

So psyched to join the Hot Toys club.

Here's hoping it looks as good in person! I did consider whether I was missing out by not getting a figure with an actual headsculpt to show off Hot Toys' spooky real paint jobs, but in the end I had to go with my heart.

I can’t afford the comics I want, so new toys are out of the question.  Hoping to finally hit my storage unit this weekend and dig out my original Star Wars stuff
