Looks like it's been there since 2005, and the only two offers it has received over the years were less than $1,000.  I think the guy probably just doesn't want to sell.

Not sure where to put this one, because it's not a particularly exhorbitant price--although it might be if that sticker is directly on the cover.  I don't really see any trace (glare, etc.) of the "protective plastic cover" that the item description assures us that the "original sticker price" is affixed to, but even granting that--"original sticker price"???  The original price was $1.95.  And the Condition is "brand new"?  I dunno about these dream.store listings; they all seem a little sketchy to me.

They appear to be a charity that excepts donations like collectibles. My guess is that they accepted this comic with a “sticker price”of $20 (and don’t know much about the value).

They have a seemingly never-ending supply of slabbed Vampirellas, some of which are "niners" (for which they are asking upwards of $1000), but they also have put up a lot of low-grade slabs recently too (asking between $80 as for the CGC 1.8 I posted above and several hundred dollars for some of the midgrade slabs).

And they're actually making a surprising number of sales, too--including $85 for a CGC 4.5 Vampirella #56.  I wasn't aware that was a particularly valuable copy or anything, is it?  I feel like they couldn't be pricing and selling so many Vampirella slabs if they didn't know something of their value--but they may be kind of "playing dumb" (for charity?), too.

My eyebrow is arched...

Wow- I missed that many of these went up. 😭I take it by the quick sales they were underpriced.

Definitely would have been a buyer  on the 1, 12,13,14 and 18- those prices were crazy low in my eyes.  Not sure why someone would have listed so low considering the recent trend up on Vamps- but as stated, someone had a good day. Have to tell myself that I can’t always get every good deal but a bit of remorse seeing this thread that I didn’t look yesterday- stupid work got in the way 😂

Vamp 7 at under $600 was another great price.

That HC special was a true steal at $215.  Condition looks much better than the stated 6.5.  Rarely see this for sale anymore.  Sold in 8 minutes!

I hear you Greg… if I had a buck for how many times I was a few minutes too late.  It’s quite impressive the surgical precision and laser quickness they sniff out treasures


Barely missed some great skywalds the other day- literally just by minutes but alas, just wasn’t meant to be.  I have to remind myself that I’ve been on the end of some poor chap feeling like he missed a gold mine by but a few minutes because I got there first or got a winning bid—I say this only to try and make myself feel better LOL

itll be fun to see if/when some nice slabbed skywalds are put up on display on the threads- kudos to the guy who got there first👍🏻

With those numbers.  I think selling my 9.2 Vampi 1 is not going to happen at 7K

It's such a weird perspective thing to hear you guys talking about these prices as "steals"--but it makes me very grateful to have mine already, because all of these books would be well out of my reach at these prices (plus mine aren't sealed in plastic).  I'm reluctant to even pay $100 for a Vampi Special, though I fear I will probably have to break my $50 rule eventually, if I'm going to complete the Warren collection.
