Yesterday a man in Vallejo CA entered a Starbucks with body armor and assault rifle with the intent to kill three police officers. Thankfully his gun jammed and they caught him.

 

I work for Riverside County in CA and last week a man killed two Palm Springs Police Officers (also Riverside County) and wounded a third as he waited for them to respond. He was wearing body armor and had an assault rifle.

 

Officer Zerebny just returned to work after maternity leave. She is survived by her husband who works in the building next to me and their 4-month-old child.

 

Officer Vega served 35 years as a police officer and was scheduled to retire this December. He is survived by his wife and eight children.

 

Tomorrow is their funeral.

 

Don't mean to be such a downer, but this has gotten out of hand and many of us wonder what we can do. I thought I would offer a couple of sites for anyone who might want to donate to the families.
