cant think of a single metaphor in the book or movie Dune.  Just solid storytelling.  Metaphors the death of story.  Kinda like going to art museum and nodding your head in sage appreciation at a hubcap mounted on the wall.

Also - first time in more than a decade that there's a full slate of 10 nominees.

It really is odd. Like the Oscars wanted to give more pictures bragging rights to state in their marketing 'Oscar-nominated'
