This looks like the promotional variant of Animal Crackers #9 (Norlen, 1959) which featured the cover from an earlier Animal Crackers #9 (Green, 1957) married to a fractional interior from Giant Comics #3 (Charlton, 1957).

He made some very strategic purchases during a brief window when some items were available, but not as sought after as they are now.

I also appreciate that the books that weren't his, he didn't have.
