Zeck and Ditko may have passed by other in the Marvel Bullpen, but that's as close as they ever came to working together. Yes, Ditko penciled several issues of ROM. He also did some work on a Micronauts Annual. And don't forget Ditko's work on the interiors of Chuck Norris and the Karate Kommandos series!!! Oh, he also did a Godzilla inventory story but Marvel lost the license to the character, so the story was changed to a "different" 50-foot tall monster called "The Wani" who battled Tako Shamara AKA The Dragon Lord in MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #5 (vol. 2). That issue had a Frank Miller cover. #classic

I've never seen that book but the art reproduced in this blog post looks pretty darned good for Steve in that time frame: https://blogintomystery.com/2012/12/28/the-monster-in-steve-ditkos-dragon-lord-isnt-steve-ditkos-gorgo-though-its-pretty-much-steve-ditkos-gorgo-marvel-spotlight-vol-2-5/

i was kind of hoping the character design would be EXACTLY Godzilla with a false mustache and glasses.

Excalibur 21 cover. Sold 3.2.21 for 2988. Now available for 8500. Not sure if it’s been restored, but I’d be super po’d as a buyer if that dedication is still there, not disclosed, and covered up with trade dress…

Whoa! A Zeck interior featuring Spidey and Moon Knight for under $4,600? What a bargain IMHO.

There probably should be a new thread for dealer refreshes…

This Nexus cover sold in 2014 on heritage for 2000. Been sitting on Moy’s site for years since for just under 5000. Now it’s suddenly a new arrival at 8000.

This is how it worked in the 1990s:  A Kirby panel page doesn't sell for $175 in May 1994?  It gets re-advertised by the same dealer for $160 in September 1994.

Oh yeah, see it all the time. That’s why I suggested it’s own thread. Lol. Just figured I’d highlight this one since it started as a flip.

I think your post is fine in this thread.  It just seems like pricing common sense is sometimes absent with comic art these days, whereas almost 30 years ago, you reduced your price if your art wasn't selling at the initial price.

I don't know what is currently the most ridiculous coming from him : this or the bad photo-novel he is doing with JR SR's picture (and bad paste-up) on the Spectacular SM 259 page...

Man I missed out on the SM 259 piece when it was around $60,000. Now it's $315,000.    Hmmm, well he does have a nice Larry Lieber Spider-man strip for only $78,000.
