markseifert
The use of "color" makes me wonder whether this cover was used on a US publication somewhere before being used for this book. It's a good and interesting question. I think... maybe... because "full color" is a printing trade term, and because US publishers have done a lot of printing business with Canadian companies since forever for obvious reasons, it could be there's more American English usage in the printing trade than there otherwise might be. Putting that to a barely-meaningful test You might know that Transcontinental Printing of Canada is currently one of the world's largest printers of American comic books. Googling their website, "colour" is somewhat more common, but there's still plenty of instances of "color" in various contexts.

Bronty
Thought the fellow fans of Cdn comics that have yet to have the chance might enjoy reading the first appearance of "Canada'a Batman", The Penguin, from 'Wow' comics #15. Enjoy!

Bronty
Great book Stephen. Interesting little tidbit to share with everyone. I've all but confirmed that the following were Vancouver pedigree books. The bing bangs and Cdn Heroes are confirmed, just waiting to hear on the rest. I spoke to the consignor of the books today. He consigned a mix of US and Cdn books to heritage without knowing they were vancouvers. Heritage sorted that out and had them (mostly) graded and sold them for him. He was under the impression that CGC "wouldn't grade the Cdn books" - obviously an incorrect message there somewhere - I suspect Heritage didn't think the Cdn books were worth the trouble and just sold them raw in a couple Sunday auction in August 2014 while getting the US books slabbed. I didn't buy any of those books but somebody out there got some Vancouvers and didn't even know it Unfortunately, he has no remaining Vancouver books nor any remaining whites. Bing Bang from august http://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/bing-bang-comics-v2-9-maple-leaf-publishing-co-1944-condition-vf-/a/121434-14150.s Cdn Heroes (4) from august sale http://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/canadian-heroes-v5-6-educational-projects-inc-1945-condition-fn-/a/121433-13177.s http://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/canadian-heroes-v2-2-educational-projects-inc-1943-condition-vg-/a/121433-13174.s http://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/canadian-heroes-v4-1-educational-projects-inc-1944-condition-fn-/a/121433-13176.s http://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/canadian-heroes-v2-3-educational-projects-inc-1943-condition-vg-/a/121433-13175.s Spike & Mike, august http://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/spike-andamp-mike-nn-bell-features-1945-condition-fn-vf/a/121433-13692.s Blonde Phantom Cdn edition, august (not a true white but I'm guessing a Vancouver?) http://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/blonde-phantom-18-canadian-edition-bell-features-1948-condition-vg-fn/a/121433-13162.s This little exercise has also been interesting from the POV that the OO obviously had access to US books in the WECA time period because the vast majority of the Vancouvers are US books despite including quite a chunk of books from the 1941-1946 WECA time frame. In terms of CGC recognized pedigreed whites, I can think of only these and the Rockfords. To all of you reading this message, hopefully you have a Vancouver or two in your closet that you didn't even know about

Bronty
I've sent you an email; very curious to understand this new piece of the puzzle. Too bad about the marks in the logo, looks 9.4 otherwise. I've seen this book of yours before, and always thought the condition (colors especially) were glorious.. now I know why!
