Fabulous collection, EC - you must be in seventh heaven :cloud9:

What is that 'M', mid-right on the cover out of interest - is it a stamp?

I’m not really sure it could be a distributor stamp from the local store it arrived at for the newsstand

There are many many more, and note that the black marker on the covers with the pricing number is on the plastic bag and not on the comics themselves

I don't know anything about Canadian Comics but I've really enjoyed looking at these. It was a great find, a real treasure chest.

An awesome acquisition!  (worship)
My latest contribution is much more mundane: the Canadian edition of Vicky Comics #4 (Ace International / Trans-Canada News; Jun 1949).  Still Golden Age, but years beyond the WECA era.  The interesting aspect of this book is that it's actually a hybrid of two US issues: it features the cover of the US edition of Vicky #4 (Ace; Apr 1949) but the interior of the US edition of Vicky #3 (Ace; Feb 1949) -- minus the US ads, of course.  I know that Canadian editions often had reduced page counts versus their original US counterparts (for example, the Canadian editions of DC issues from the 52-page era only contained 36 pages and were therefore technically "incomplete" reprints).  But I don't think I've ever seen a Canadian edition that was a hybrid of two different US issues.  Was this hybridizing unique to Ace, or was it something that other publishers did when creating their Canadian editions?  (shrug)
