9.9 vs 9.8?

A lot of variables to consider. Each book valuation but a general rule of thumb is that a 9.9 will be valued much higher than a 9.8. This is simply because 9.9 and 10 are nearly impossible to find.

For instance, you can find a CGC 9.8 of New Mutants 98 on ebay right now for $800. The same book sold as a CGC 9.9 in 2009 for a staggering $12,250 and the current census has only one graded as a 10 EVER.

At the same time, eBay currently has a Grimms Fairy Tale book graded at 9.9 for only 75$. So while 9.9 is very rare, if it is a book that nobody cares about then there isnt really much value. Hope this helps and answered your question.
