During a conversation with Business Insider, Guillermo actor Harvey Guillén disclosed that season 3 would introduce a new fabulous creature into the universe of What We Do in the Shadows in the form of an enigmatic Siren.

He, however, did not get into details of the character, refusing to comment on who'd play the role, and when exactly during season 3 would the character appear. He also didn't reveal if the creature's arc would span multiple episodes, or if it would pop up in only a single episode. But although Guillén did not comment on the inclusion of a Siren further, he did let out that a certain guest star from the previous iteration would resurface in season 3, thereby confirming the information that was previously teased by the show's EPs.

For those wondering if the Siren is the only new creature that would crop up in What We Do in the Shadows forthcoming season 3, it has previously been confirmed that the upcoming show would feature at least 3-4 new supernatural critters. One that has been explicitly announced is a hellhound, which the vampires will be entrusted to take care of for a single episode. Apart from that, gargoyles have also been potentially teased for the new show, as during the show's Comic-Con at Home panel in July, executive producers Paul Simms and Stefani Robinson had indicated the presence of a creature "that lives on edifices." At one point there were even active discussions about including a leprechaun in the series, but the idea was dropped as the character did not fit in well with the world of the show.

The official Instagram theshadowsfx posted two clips to tease the upcoming third season. They show the vampires trying to declutter by selling off some of their items. In the first clip, the item up for sale is a "taxidermied armadillo," while the second is a "slightly darker than beige v-neck sweater." Both of them include a message in the description that briefly explains the type of person that would be perfect to purchase their item.

Who is this Craig and why does he have a list?

Are you trying to drip like Colin Robinson?

In a conversation with SYFY WIRE, published on Tuesday, Simms teased an unexpected, brand new chemistry between Berry's Laszlo and Proksch's Colin Robinson for What We Do in the Shadows season 3. When asked how he keeps the show from losing steam, Simms said that he tries to expand the Shadows universe in a way that it's visually appealing and amusing. So as he goes about doing that, the different camaraderies between the characters also grow, sometimes in ways that he might not have anticipated. The same goes for Colin Robinson and Laszlo's relationship, They previously despised each other, but in season 3, they will foster a surprising bond that will evolve throughout the show.

"It's a combination of two things. It's seeing more of, and expanding, the supernatural world in ways that are visual and funny. And whenever I read interviews about getting “more into the characters,” it makes it sound so boring. [Laughs.] But there are relationships, obviously, in the show that have developed that were never planned out originally. You'll start to see a glimpse of it in Season 3 of Laszlo and Colin Robinson — two people who basically get on each other's nerves—developing this unusual friendship that plays out through the season. And I think the main thing we try to do is always keep having surprises. There are some good ones in the [first four], and there's some great surprises that come up through the rest of the season."
